Day 2City Tour

Boka Bay is one of the Mediterranean’s most distinctive landscapes. Kotor Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Baroque town of Perast, also unveils some of Montenegro’s finest examples of Medieval architecture and sacred monuments.Lying in the bay to the front of Perast are two islands .According to legend, the island was created over many centuries by seamen who, having found an icon of the Madonna and Child on a rock in the sea in July 1452, upon returning from each successful voyage, would lay another rock next to it in the Bay. Over time, the island gradually emerged from the sea.

The ride to Kotor – town under UNESCO protection. Round trip of the Old town of Kotor, surrounded by several-kilometers long walls, with many impressive buildings. The most known is Cathedral of Saint Tryphon, built in the Romanesque style, in the mid-twelfth century on the remains of the old church from the ninth century. A visit to the the old walled city of Kotor with a 40 minute guided tour and 40 minutes free time. Free time optional includes hiking the ladder of Kotor’s Old City walls (3e per person). After visiting Kotor, trips continues with a boat ride to the island Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela) – an artificial island constructed on a rock, on which local people have built up the island from the depths of the sea. From 1630. there is a church and nowadays has a huge collection of silver coins and plates with relief that shows the development of maritime activities in Boka kotorska. Near the island Lady of the Rocks, is St. George, an island surrounded by stone walls, and concealed from view by tall cypress tree tops with the church from the seventeenth century. On the opposite side of the islands, at the foot of Mount St. Elias is a small town called Perast. Perast got a name from the Illyrian tribe Pirusta, which had turbulent history. In the city have been found remains from Neolithic culture (3500 year. BC). This small baroque city had its coultural peak in the 17th and 18th centurie. It is known as a birthplace of many sailors and for large number of old palaces more than 400 years old

Day 3Free Day to relax or shop/ Optional Tour:

Skadar Lake is a wild wonder, a vast fresh water lake waiting to be explored. The largest lake in the Balkans. Its rocky shores and wetlands are home to myriad wildlife; around 280 bird species including the rare curly pelican.

While enjoying the cruise, enjoy the local specialties: priganice with honey (a type of fried pastry, delicious and hot! It can be eaten with sweet or savory accompaniment), freshwater fish from the lake and drinks (lunch). Cruise past the Fortress of Lesendro and Žabljak Crnojevica (a small but famous fishing village on the board of the lake), the village of Karuč Dodoši and the mouth of the River Crnojevič.
